Calibration
Crompton Technology uses high end quality calibration equipment. This equipment is made either by Fluke in the USA or ZERA in Germany. Calibration of meters is an integral part of our process. We test and calibrate all units before they leave our facility. This ensures the highest accuracy of any product.

What is Meter Calibration ?
Meter calibration is the process of verifying and adjusting a measuring instrument (like an ammeter or voltmeter) against a known, highly accurate reference standard. This ensures its readings are correct and reliable for its specific application. The process involves comparing measurements. It also includes identifying discrepancies, and making corrections or adjustments to match the standard.
This ensures accuracy, prevents errors, and is crucial for quality control, safety, and proper billing in various industries, often done with specialized tools and software in labs or on-site.
- Comparison: We compare the meter’s reading to a more precise reference standard, for example a certified power analyzer for an electric meter or buffer solutions for a pH meter.
- Verification: It confirms the meter is functioning within the manufacturer’s specified accuracy limits and is suitable for its intended use.
- Adjustment: We correct any significant error (deviation) by adjusting the meter’s settings or by documenting the error for future corrections, such as in a calibration curve.
- Traceability: Standards used are often traceable to national standards for ultimate accuracy.
