General Purpose Voltage Transformers
General Purpose Voltage Transformers offered in LV(low voltage) 600v class Indoor use. These voltage transformers are encased in a thermoplastic case with the core and windings encapsulated in resin.
General Purpose Voltage Transformers offer high accuracy and are CSA approved.
Typical applications include metering and protection.
Voltage transformers (VT), also called potential transformers (PT), are a parallel-connected type of instrument transformer. The units are designed to present a negligible load to the supply being measured and have an accurate voltage ratio and phase relationship to enable accurate secondary connected metering. Units have high efficiency for high frequency ranges.
Advantages of Voltage Transformers are the units enable an ordinary voltmeter to measure high voltages. Also, units offer protection by having electrical isolation between the voltmeter and the high voltage line. Units have easy mounting and wiring setup.
