Cam Switches Type A/Z

Cam Switches Type A/Z are available with a large range from 200 to 2000 amps, and have a heavy duty rugged design, with high making and breaking capacities resulting in a long operational life. Higher amperages are obtained by paralleling the contacts and providing a heavy duty busbar.

Three column tandem units allow for highly customized designs as required.

Cam Switches Type A/Z are available with a large offering of up to 12 positions with 30°, 45°, 60°,  or 90° throw. Custom designs are available as required.

There are 2 series, either A200 or Z315.  The A200 has CSA/UL amps of 200 while the Z315 has a higher rating CSA/UL amps of 255. Case Size is identical for both series. For ITH, A200 has 200, while the Z315 has a higher ITH of 315. The Voltage class is same for both series at 600 V ac.

Advantages of Cam Switches are ease of use, lower cost, compact size, no need for maintenance, usability in ac and dc applications, mounting diversity (eg. panel door, or enclosure), contact diversity, and temperature independent operation.
